Yup, the infamous “10:30 am Filet-O-Fish”
I might try that again sometime this week before my free cheeseburger win expires.
Oh I well remember having a McBier on my first trip to Europe
I love it!
Such a good Mc D’s hack, but can be tricky to get the timing right.
Indeed. It almost feels like that one is a “order the hash brown at 10:25am and then wait 10 minutes and order the filet o’ fish”.
Alas, this probably wouldn’t have been a problem if the hadn’t done away with their all day breakfast menu.
Exactly . I think that’s when I lucked into getting both at the same time.
Aha!
No tartare sauce?
I can’t get the timing right. I just stick some french fries in my filet o fish.
Credible reason is allocating kitchen real estate:
I think we still have all day breakfast in Canada, but I haven’t checked lately. It used to be that Canadian McD’s didn’t have all day breakfast when US McD’s had all day breakfast.
I don’t ever crave an Egg McMuffin after 11 am. I think I’ve been conditioned. LOL
The Canadian McCafes, which don’t sell hamburgers, chicken or fries, sell Egg McMuffins, pastries, and grilled cheese all day. They tend to be located in train stations or near office buildings.
It’s interesting, that the transport trucks on the highway have been painted to say they rely on Canadian farmers. Which they do, of course. It’s just interesting. I don’t see as many Wendy’s, Burger King, Popeyes, Taco Bell, KFC, or Five Guys trucks to see if they are doing the same thing. I see a lot of McD’s trucks, and I guess their marketing stands out.
There is a big Buy Canadian movement currently, and some international fast food chains have been experiencing poorer sales recently.
A & W has been expanding rapidly, as has Mary Brown’s fried chicken.
There are a lot of reminders from the fast food companies that they are using Canadian ingredients in their advertising and on their menus.
I was cracking up on Friday at Boom on College St.
Look at the potatoes they’re describing as Frites on their menu.
Those are definitely Wedges.
I’m okay with good Frites and real Frites for Breakfast.
McDonalds isn’t a diner or a grezzy spoon, they should serve their breakfast with hash browns or not serve it at all
Lol.
PedroPero Rules.
Gotta have some rules, or society will crumble…
