I am looking for a food processor and immersion blender. How are Robot Coupe products? I find it a bit costly. Is it worth buying a Robot coupe product?
I find that both my Robot-Coupe home FP and the Commercial ones of great quality and longevity.
I have only have had experience with the commercial Burr Mixer/Immersion Blender which is an awesome Piece of Equipment not sure if that translates to the Home ones.
I believe either @CaitlinM or @LindaWhit recommended the Breville FP, which has preferable blade(?) locking versus the Cuisinart (so the blade doesn’t fall out when you invert the bowl? Or maybe it was that there’s no hole in the bottom of the Breville FP bowl? Something clever like that.)
I have and can highly recommend the Cuisinart Smart Stick immersion blender. Very easy to use and wash. I don’t see it on their website anymore so it may be only available used.
Yes, the Breville FP has a closed bowl. No leaks, and you can load the bowl with the blade in place before lifting it onto the base (even place it on a digital scale and tare it out). Other pluses: a powerful motor; fully adjustable slicing blade; no nooks and crannies that make it hard to get fully clean. I’m very happy with mine.
That was it, thank you. If my Cuisinart ever dies, I’m replacing it with one of those!
I absolutely adore my Mueller immersion blender. I love that you can remove the bottom for easy cleaning, tho I’ve not used any of the extra attachments - i.e. the milk foamer and the whisk.
I’ve had the magimix fp and the bamix immersion blender for many years. Both are excellent and were gifts. They are both pricey but I’m happy to have them.
I’ve got an old Cuisinart Food Processor – no complaints. It does everything I ask of it without issues or problems. Cleanup is easy… throw it all in the dishwasher and just a quick wipe of the base. Done and done!
I’m kind of new to the immersion blender scene, but am liking my KitchenAid immersion blender. I mainly use that for making soups.
How will you be using the food processor? If you will be using it mostly for pureeing and chopping, I can strongly recommend a Thermomix. It’s a very powerful machine that can also be cooked in or steamed over. I’ve had one for many years and it’s a real workhorse.
Another question for intended use and ask typical quantity of food processed.
I love my Braun immersion blender and all its attachments (tiny FP, mini FP, and more). The newer models have a full size FP the immersion blender motor fits into as well (also a blender) but I don’t think I’d use it much.
In the extended family we have magimix and bamix, and they’re both very effective (the bamix small jar attachment is excellent, they have a new mini FP with different blades that we have but I haven’t explored just yet).
Did you mean “Braun” ?
I recently used the one at my Folks House with the Mini or Tiny FP(not sure which) to grind some Coconut Masala and a couple of Chutneys. I was amazed at how well it worked.
I may skip getting a Mixie now.
I’ve also got a Braun immersion blender, with the cup size FP. It’s generally my go to. I have a Vitamix that I have yet to use (although frozen Piña Colada season is rapidly approaching) and a recently set up Magimix (a lovely machine that works very well; I just hate washing everything and don’t want to risk any issues with the dishwasher on parts). Braun, ftw!
Indeed I did
My auto-incorrect has been on a tear
OP is a shill for a cookware retailer. Can a mod please remove the links from their posts?
That being said, I have a Cuisinart Food Processor - the DFP-14BCN, which is a 14 cup food processor. It works great for the once in the blue moon I use it to chop or to shred cheese. I also have a mini chopper, the Cuisinart CH-4DC, which works well for smaller tasks like making chimichurri and pastes.
Good catch. That makes sense given the lack of specifics.
i was going to recommend, as well. never used the attachments, either:)

They say it’s a great machine. It should be since they go for over $2,000.
The OP mentioned Robot Coupe, so I thought Thermomix could be a consideration given that it’s a good multitasker.
It’s expensive, but it is a good piece of kit.
I agree. The Magimix is actually the home version of the Robot Coupe. The “feel” (smooth and very powerful motor) is very much like the original Cuisinart that was also a Robot Coupe. It has a very well engineered, easy, and intuitive design. The Bamix is terrific for soups, “party trick” mayonnaise, and tons of other stuff with minimal cleanup. Party trick mayonnaise is cool. Put an egg yolk, a spoonful of Dijon mustard, juice of a lemon, pinch of salt, and a cup of peanut oil in a Mason jar. Put the IB in, turn it on, and pull it up. Voila, mayonnaise in mere seconds.
