Small Hawaiian from Byron Pizza, which is a pizza spot that offers take-out or delivery. No tables.
Rangoon (a rarity in Ontario ) and honey garlic nuggets.

From Gino’s Pizza (a chain) at Cherryhill Village Mall
A slice of mushroom pepperoni, and a slice of bacon, olive and mushroom. Not bad for around $5/ slice. Crispy crust, plenty of cheese and toppings.
It’s been interesting to watch the food court at Cherryhill Village Plaza change. It’s a mall that used to be a nicer mall. Lots of foot traffic from the seniors’ apartments and nursing home nearby. The nicer clothing stores, gift shops and camera store have left. What have moved in are liquidation stores and dollar stores.
The Timothy’s Coffee is now a Chinese Café called Galaxy Café, with Chinese sweets and boba.
The old Baskin Robbins was an Indian restaurant for close to a decade and it’s now been Mexican House for a few years. Here is a post about one take-out meal I purchased for from Mexican House at Cherryhill.
The Mexican House at Cherryhill Village Mall menu has been simplified since a new Mexican House restaurant opened in the old Prince Albert Diner space downtown on Richmond St at Albert St. They do still have Chilaquiles on the menu.
Mother Hubbard’s has added some Lebanese food to its menu.
Little Panda has taken over the old Chinese Court space.
A new burger place will be opening soon, next to the King of the Pigs Portugese churrasco restaurant.
Saisha’s Pâtisserie
Tonight, I ordered samosas, dal tadka, sag aloo, eggplant aloo, lamb korma, chicken biryani, paratha, rice, and roti from Manna Cuisine.
This little take-out restaurant in the suburbs only does take-out and catering.
This feast came to $79.90 after tax.
We enjoyed everything again.
This was our 3rd time getting take-out from Manna Cuisine the past 18 months.
The Sag Aloo
Eggplant Aloo
Dal Tadka

The Chicken Biryani contains one drumstick and one thigh on the bone. I might try the Vegetarian Biryani another time.
I tried Sai Thai, a small Thai restaurant on the edge of Lambeth, which many people consider to be the best Thai option in LondonOn right now. It was my first visit. The owner is connected in some way to the fancier Meethai in Byron.
I ordered the pad Thai medium spicy. ($21.70 before tax, generous portion, enough for 2 people)
Vegetable pad kra pow ($17.95), ordered mild, which came with steamed rice.
Everything was good. The menu is slightly smaller than most Thai restaurants I visit. There are only 3 noodle dishes offered.
I will try more dishes this winter.
I also picked up turtle squares, Nanaimo bars, millionaires shortbread, oat date Trilbies and a caramel apple fritter at Spicer’s in Lambeth. Spicer’s also has locations in St. Thomas and Aylmer.
Take-out 3 egg Deluxe Omelette from The Little Beaver in Komoka. $17.50 including tax.
Half the omelette. I split it with my dining companion.
The whole 3 egg deluxe Omelette. Bacon, ham, mushrooms, green peppers and cheese.
Take-out supper from Hillside Restaurant and Pizza, a Greek-run family restaurant in Kilworth.
I placed my order by phone and it was ready in 20 minutes.
I ordered 3 mains:
Perch, shrimp and scallop platter, with fries ($29) and an upgrade to Greek side salad (+$3)
Beef liver and onions, with a baked potato ($21) and upgrade to a Caesar side salad (+$3).
Prime rib with a baked potato and cream of mushroom soup ($38).
Everything was good. Dinner rolls were included.
There aren’t too many of these independent full service family restaurants left in the London area. I’ll definitely be back.
Congee Chan
Ginger and Green Onion lobster $56.99 was the market price tonight. The order filled 2 containers.
Honey garlic ribs ($19.99)
Singapore noodles
($19.99)
I tried Mint Leaves tonight, a restaurant with some Keralan and Hakka dishes, as well as most of the usual suspects.
I ordered online, and when I arrived, my order wasn’t placed, and the restaurant no longer offered 3 of the dishes I had ordered. (Baingan Bharta, Dal Makhani and Chicken Tikka Masala). The employee helped me find some substitutes: mutter paneer, Chicken 65, and Sambar.
We also ordered the Cauliflower Manchurian (first time for us), Lamb Rogan Josh, jeera rice, paratha and naan.
Everything was pretty good. I’ll try some daily specials another time.

Excellent bread available through Extra Dough. Scott’s bread is also sold at the Arva Flour Mill.
Take-out futomaki
California roll
from Tanakaya at the Market.
Also a take-out special wonton with noodle soup from Rice Box. Mixed feelings about Rice Box’s soup, so I won’t say more.
Very nice seeded sourdough from La Noisette, which can be purchased at Sidetrack Café on Wortley, or Chris’ Country Meats at the Covent Garden Market.
My sandwich made with seeded sourdough from La Noisette.
My view at Sidetrack, when I picked up my bread and a cappuccino.
