Thanks for posting this. I just checked and this special pricing is available in all locations - Cookstown, Neptune City, Sea Girt and Monmouth Park, in addition to Red Bank.

Thank you, the post I saw was confusing as they only mentioned Cookstown as I guess that is the 15 year place.

I was confused myself. Since I would have had to pass 2 of the locations to get to RB I thought I’d check on them. It wasn’t easy. I ended up finding a post on Instagram with the info.

Well, the pricing was too good to pass up. Got a full rack and wings. Thinking they might cheap out on the wings, but they did not.
Picked up some brisket too, that was just meh. I’ve always thought their best items were their ribs and they were today. They have corned beef and pastrami today for the holiday also.

I am sure he knows what he’s doing, don’t get me wrong. The brisket yesterday was rather dry, I don’t know anything about running a bbq restaurant but I’d imagine holding brisket so each serving is amazing has to be one of the tougher things. Especially if you are not running through a bunch of them.

yes thats a big issue. I have done catering a few times from them and they only do chopped brisket for catering specifically because of that.

I had the chicken wings and ribs delivered Monday, both were outstanding especially at that price point.

For whatever reason in our area it seems like getting good brisket is the hardest task. Even at places that do it well it’s very often inconsistent. I think probably they just don’t do the volume required to put out a consistent product. Also there’s such a big difference between the point and flat, if you can’t pick point and get a dry flat it’s game over.

JSBBQ always had fantastic brisket – that was his specialty – but since they moved south, I haven’t been there in years.
