Lions Mane Mushrooms

I have 3 beautiful ones from the New Haven Ct farmers market. Would love any ideas for using them. I think I will just try a few slices cooked in butter for lunch. Are they used like any other mushroom or more likely to be the star of the plate? THanks.

It’s an interesting mushroom. I have used it in a soup broth, or simply sauteed for pasta. Check out this informative site, even has a recipe (scroll all the way down).

Thank you Presunto. A good article and helpful for my first time cooking. I had also been thinking about drying what I couldn’t eat while they were nice and fresh but the article seemed to steer one away from that.
