Lidl (Hazlet & Eatontown, NJ)

I used the Lidl app for the first time today. My phone showed me a 5.00 off coupon for spending 30.00 today. Just an fyi. It appears you can use this more than once. I will have to try it again.

See here…

Lidl produce section has seen better days…

I agree the produce has been spotty. The app coupons seem to expire before I get to use them. Last time I was there was Monday and my $20 off went poof.

This place is SUPER inconsistent on what is stocked. Later in the day on the weekend and the shelves are completely bare. It is wild. I went on Monday and had no issues for a handful of stuff I needed. No antibacterial hand stuff though. You can make a killing on that stuff right now!!!

Which location? I haven’t been in awhile but I’ve never seen it like that.

I would suspect hazlet. I’ve seen it pretty ravaged.

I think with all the commotion lately most markets are getting hit HARD. Trade Joes the other day looked empty when I was there. I think Lidl only gets stock a few days a week so sometimes they do look empty one or two days.

I have never seen Lidl stocked like that, I am a regular at the Hazlet location, they are always fully stocked and well organized, clean. It’s the coronavirus bullshit. My mom was at a Korean market today and she said they were out of RICE.

Plenty of rice at Shoprite Shrewsbury on Tuesday; however, no flour.

I guess that means Koreans consider rice a staple, while people in Shrewsbury bake bread.

I was thinking cookies, but yes!

Word is that Lidl is coming to the old Coke plant on the Asbury Park circle. Traffic on that circle is hazardous so not sure that is the best location.

I thought Trader Joes was headed there. A crazy spot to be sure.

Not Lidl OR Trader Joe’s (which I would have LOVED), but Aldi. At issue is the traffic insanity that already exists at the Asbury Circle.

Color me Disappointed.

Ditto.

There will need to be some major reconstruction of the circle no matter who comes in. I don’t shop at any of the possibilities mentioned so it won’t affect me except for driving the circle.

Hoarding TP is a sure sign that the educational system has failed us badly. It is stupid beyond any reason. As any veteran knows, there are many substitutes.

Man dates back approximately 200,000 years on this planet. Toilet paper was “invented” in 1857, how did man survive those other 198,143 years?

Educational system has failed, how about the common sense system? WTF happened to that?

Common sense is generally passed down from your parents as a natural consequence of “growing up” and “paying attention”. Lack of it would indicate parenting failure. So, we appear to have a significant population of badly raised, ignorant people. Film at 11.
