I had purchased a pork tenderloin iirc. I divided it in 3rds, froze two of them. I cooked the remaining third and it had a very off-putting liverish flavor. I brought the 2 frozen sections, the left over cooked bit and the receipt. The clerk had absolutely no interest in looking at the meat or learning why I wanted a refund (I was fine on a prorated refund since I had eaten some). They just looked at the receipt, never opened the opaque bag that the meat was in, and gave me a full refund.
I appreciate the ease of the refund. But Iām puzzled why the company doesnāt want more info. At the very least it could point to issues with specific suppliers.
Iāll keep my eye out. Thanks for the tip. Iāve been buying their multigrain loaf lately and slicing it there. My kid loves to chew on a slice of bread as we shop.
I finally tried Lidl and they have some good deals. It definitely isnāt a shopping spot for everything but I will put this spot in my rotation. Look at these giant blueberries below. They are 3.99 at foodtown and shoprite. These Lidl ones were 1.99 on sale. The big package is from costco.
I got random stuff
1.79 pineapple. 33 cent bottles of seltzer. 2.49 lb butter. 99 cent pork rinds. 1.69 almond milk. Large Lidl cayenne hot sauce which hopefully tastes like franks/crystal/Louisiana. 7.99 butterball turkey breast. It is not for Thanksgiving. Iām going to brine it and try a Latin style turkey. 99 cent bottles of italian lemon juice (for making kombucha)
I like Lidl also. I go to Eatontown area more often than before due to my kidās soccer schedule. Whenever we can, we stop by Lidl just for cheap donuts and pastries and grab whatever meat or seafood they have on sale.
I also like some of the frozen item from Spain in the freezer section.
I just had some smoked almondsā¦delicious! 4.19 for 12oz. They are big and so far Iāve seen one broken piece in the entire bag. Very good buy. These will be in my snack rotation. They are from a company called ājust nutsā
I was pleasantly surprised at how big they were. Iāll take these over the blue diamond smoked almonds.
Strangest dispute over this site. The boro govt def wanted redev. Sounds like the resto wanted biz for as long as possible and Lidl started reporting the location in order to push the opp.
not shocked. someone posted on best market thread that the place was going downhill fast. Prob starved the beast as much as they could to drive traffic to the hamlet location to some extent.
This may have been brought up already but does anyone have the app? I just got it and it looks half decent.
9.99 valentines day special on pajamas. So do you think she will know if I chuck them in a Victoriaās secret box?
Useless fact of the day is below of youāre bored:
I was at the st maarten yacht club and this beast of a yacht was across the bay. I asked someone about it and it is the CEO of victorias secret and named Limitless. It is the blue monster seen on the left. I took that photo and google stalked me and stylized it.
Take a guess how many people are part of the crew on that ship. I will fill you in later but letās get some numbers
Moral of the story: Iād bet the house these 9.99 pajamas are coming out of the same factory that 80 dollar Victoria secret ones are.
The app is pretty good, make sure you scan it each time you go- once you hit the threshold- like 3 times in a month and 150 total or so you get a nice coupon- my first was 20 off 100, then usually like 20% of some category. My biggest problem was getting to the threshold since its so cheap thereā¦
