We put ours together and our Contractor hung them. It was pretty easy really. And the Cost saving was huge!
Nice remodel! Love that big hood. I did like that sort of low-sound aspect you mention with Corian, but they said I couldnât set a 450°F Dutch oven on it. Iâm too lazy to fetch trivets so I started looking to heat resistant stone after that. My wife had always been leaning quartz composite or granite anyway, but since itâs âmy kitchenâ she was willing to let me drive the design choices. Although she is responsible for a lot of the cost creep on our cabinets.

My kitchen is granite, my sisterâs is corian. I love the granite for pastry making and hot pots but if a glass gets knocked over on the granite itâs gone. Corian is quieter and less likely to shatter things.
