keeping corn chips crispy

we try not to finish a lb bag of TJs Blues when we have a jar of TJs Pepita.
Anyone have any fave methods of keeping big bag o chips crispy for longer than a day once opened?

I don’t have a great way to keep it from happening (e.g., no way to sparge in a dehumidified gas and seal the bag gas-tight again). It’s mainly a problem for us with summer humidity, especially if it’s been rainy.

One, uh, repair (if they have lost their crisp) is to toss a desired serving size onto a baking sheet and into the oven at about 225°F for a few minutes. Good as new, as far as I’m concerned.

One note, if you have a gas oven, they put out water vapor while burning the gas, so you might want to set to 235°F, turn it off after it’s gotten up to temp, and then add the chips.

the bake does work, but it eliminates the spontaneity of stuffing ones face.
clips are clips. as long as there is air in the bag, meaningless.

I use regular twisties that keep my Sichuan peanuts and any chippy stuff crispy, but I apparently do a fine job getting the air out first.

Put the opened bag in the freezer.

And/or put in a silica gel pack, which you get from Amazon.

Fold the bag over a few times and put a clothespin on the fold!

Hanging onto those gel packs from various food items is a good idea however I’ve never needed to test with chips. Because gluttony.

I seal with my FoodSaver or do like @Desert-Dan, but two clothespins.

freezer or fridge idea has been mentioned by some others. I’ll have to give that a go.

There’s your problem. Those bags are single serving, no matter how large they are.
