I've got a lot of lemons!

This seems like an easy lemon panna cotta recipe!

Hope it works! :crossed_fingers:t5: I made some slight adjustments because the lemons seem bigger than usual, and I wanted it sweeter than what I sampled.

How did it turn out @shrinkrap? Would love your adjustments if you remember them!

I seem to remember thinking it turned out a bit bland. I wish I had made a few notes about the set, but I think that part was fine. I think the adjustment was to measure the lemon juice rather than going by the number of lemons because the ones I get in the neighborhood always seem huge! I must have used a bit more sugar, but maybe more milk and cream too. I probably tried to come up with proportions. :person_shrugging:t5:

How long do you think preserved lemons (or limes) last if sealed? I’ve still got some from my pandemic batch. Was thinking I’d get a bag of Meyers and make some more, but if the old ones are usable I should just use those.

I would taste them and see what you think! I don’t think there would be any health risk (disclaimer; not to be confused with medical advice…). I seem to recall enjoying them even after 1.5 years, but now I make the paste, and go through them quite a bit faster that way.

Don’t you like regular lemons for this?

Sure, but anything regular lemons do, Meyers do better

Please tell me more about “the paste”…

I am still using up preserved lemons from around the same era. I make more every year, so that I always have a stash.

And one with a picture

TMI?

For this I really prefer the intense flavor of a regular lemon.

Thank you! These look good. I wish our Meyer Lemon tree had more than 12 fruit. But she is tiny… in a 20L pot.
I’ll just keep an eye out for fruit on special.
