Good points. Not having a tandoor, what I make as tandoori chicken is more accurately chicken tikka. I stand corrected.
Nowadays there are home cook hacks for tandoori chicken too, without a tandoor oven.
If you are making small boneless pieces, then yes, you are making chicken tikka.
