I’ve been to APDC three times, that’s enough for me, it got less exciting each time I visited. But if you’ve never been, it’s worth a visit. Try to sit at the bar and order the daily specials, avoid the duck in a can at all costs.
Agreed!
APDC still offers the raw seafood platters.
I can’t eat raw shellfish, so I haven’t ordered it.
I’ve been to Europea 3 times. I’ve done the tasting menu once, without the champagne. It did take 4 h.
It is very good.
Good to know.
My view (since Covid) is different. I found the tasting menu all gimmicks and show, rather than enjoyable food. Recycled (and copied) versions of dishes I used to enjoy pre-Covid! Their attempt at a ‘sugar shack’ was more Disney than Canada,
Thank you.
I have not been able to visit Montreal since November 2019, due to COVID. Any of my comments are dated.
I’m bummed to report that most likely we are having to remove Montreal from our itinerary because I got sick.
I’m saving these tips for the next time we venture north.
Oh no! Sorry to hear, you sounded really excited about going.
oh no! I hope you recover quickly!
Good recovery to you. Hope you can fit it in -again before it gets too cold.
Oh no! I hope it’s nothing too serious. Tell you what; I will eat something for you!
Deal! And photos/descriptions, please
Maybe they will be filming Top Chef there this fall!
NVM. I used the link.
I’ll add their FB page.
Dobe and Andy Chinese Restaurant
Double agree. Total gimmick. An ugly mess of chewy duck.
We were there last October. While there were select plates of seafood like scallops and oysters, I don’t recall any seafood platters. I would have ordered one if it was on the menu.
It was our first time at APDC. We were not impressed though the foie was excellent. A one and done.
The raw seafood platters at Au Pied de Cochon might be seasonal, and quite possibly they are offered primarily in the summer.
Maybe they are no longer offered in the current economy.
The daily deliveries from the Gaspé used to be mostly from May to August.
