How's the weather wherever you are?

I had a fairly pleasant week, temps in the low 60s. My thundercloud plums are blooming. It’s sprinkling now and looks like a week of rain.

Rain is supposed to be coming back to the Bay Area, just in time to delay the driveway repaving my home insurance company is insisting we do.

Wow!

My pluot is about to bloom, and I no longer have a pollinator! I sure could use a few branches of your plum!

Here are a few nearby trees in flower

Unfortunately they are not plums!

Thankfully “warmer” weather is on the way

Wish I could help, I have a Santa Rosa too.

Another 4-8” snow expected tomorrow. Fun times.

We’re in the 20 - 24 inch zone, with 50+mph winds expected. Just when the snow finally melted from the last storm 4 weeks ago.

Hooo boy! Hang in there.

I’m consoling myself with the fact that it’s supposed to warm up afterward, so we’re unlikely to get a repeat of dingy mountains of plowed snow that hang around for weeks and weeks…

Later this week, we’ll be dealing with the 90’s…

I need to order some parts for my Evap Cooler (for the cooling season) – I never thought I would need to order them in February, though.

For the last storm, after it stopped snowing it starting sleeting and hailing so everything turned to ice. Then it didn’t get above freezing for days on end. They are predicting temps in the mid 30’s to 40’s by Tuesday.

My bigger concern is the wind as they are predicting coastal flooding. We live 4 blocks from the beach and are just about surrounded by water.

You can see the beach and ocean in the upper right hand corner.

That’s what we thought - until it started to snow!

Where abouts are you?

South-central PA.

It switched to snow at about 5. It’s 10:51 PM and I just came in from shoveling. It’s still quite warm out (still above freezing) and the snow is extremely wet and heavy, but they’ve downgraded the amount we’re supposed to get. I think we’ll end up with 4”.

What are they forecasting for y’all?

These pictures were taken at 1AM, with blizzard and snow conditions expected to continue for another 13 hours (until 2 PM) Monday! Looks like we will be getting over 2 feet of snow in North Jersey, if this continues. The winds were really howling. I couldn’t even get pictures of the front of the house since my windows were fogged up and I wasn’t about to open the door and get a face full of snow :slightly_smiling_face:

This morning’s “view” from the dining room window. Please stay safe if it’s blizzard-ing where you are, HO friends.

It’s very hard to tell how much snow we’ve already had. The wind has been crazy so there has been a lot of blowing around. In some places we only have a few inches and in others there are large drifts. The predictions call for 4 - 8 more inches but who knows, It’s already above 35 degrees.

This is an interesting map

The backyard taken through glass

The front yard through the open door as all the windows are covered in snow. We shoveled last night at about 9.
