Hot sauces: what are you eating now? How many is too many?

Here’s a recent-ish favorite, Hillside Harvest. The owner is Jamaican-born and his family ended up in Massachusetts, lucky for us. The original and habanero are both in heavy rotation at our house.

I saw it in FL (of course I did, that’s where I saw the green El Yucateco I love so much), but we weren’t checking bags so I had to leave it there.

Guess my buddy Amazon’s gonna have to deliver :frowning:

No El Yucateco where you live?
I thought it was everywhere!

I think it’s absolutely worth getting it through Amazon, but I’m biased

I’ve not seen it in most stores I shop at.

This is amazing. Very hot, yet complex with the fruitiness of the kumquat shining through, and nice punches of garlic, cilantro & fish sauce. I may have to stock up on this :star_struck:

The green is great. Love Yucateco.

Original Tabasco, Sriracha and a variety of Marie Sharp’s hot sauces. Their Smoked Habanero and Sweet Habanero are the ones we use the most, but I like the others, as well.

I had no idea what Burman’s was.
I have no Aldis near me.

“Hot” sauce

I think Burman’s is just a Frank’s knock-off, though I haven’t tried it.

We’ve tried a lot but currently we have settled on Tabasco, Cholula, and Sriracha.

Habanero sauce I brought back from spring break & completely forgot about. It is really good.

Those three offer very different flavor profiles, making for an excellent trio. If you want to add anything hotter, I highly recommend Melinda’s Bhut Jolokia. It has a great flavor and is not so hot you can’t taste it.

I couldn’t find that exact name. Is it this one? Where is it sold? https://melindas.com/products/melinda-s-naga-jolokia-pepper-hot-sauce-5oz?_pos=1&_sid=0a6e9d692&_ss=r

Looks like that one isn’t widely carried:

I found some at Sierra. I stuck with the habanero, but I saw Bhut Jolokia in the mix.

They sell ghost pepper, naga jolokia, and bhut jolokia. My limited understanding is that they are pretty much the same. Bhut and Naga taste the same to me. Over time I have become quite acclimated to it. Now Cholula, as much as I love it, is almost like a spicy salad dressing. Too bad, because when I eat breakfast out at a place that serves fried eggs, the options are limited.
