[Hong Kong] Kwan Kee Bamboo Noodles

I had a similar meal at Mak’s earlier in the day and wanted to try this place on the same day just to compare. Besides, it’s only 2 or 3 MTR stops from my lodging (Mong Kok). When in HK my priority is to eat wonton noodle soup, roast meats, and dimsum. So glad I found this one (on Open Rice site, I think). Mak’s good but I like KK’s more. Speaking for myself only of course.

There are big photos of the dishes and their names on the wall. You can order a combo if you want a full, substantial meal.

Prawn roe, wonton and prawns. It’s an expensive combo.

Owner is cool. Speaks fluent English.

We had a quick chat on the way out and he was eager to show me the noodle making room, which is by the entrance.

The bamboo pole used to press the dough.

Shop’s web site is on the sign but it doesn’t exist anymore. I tried.

Got enough prawn roe for many happy noodle meals at home: from the area with lots of dried seafood shops (Wan Chai?).

I copied the address from Yelp and entered under “add location”. If incorrect please fix it for me.
