The Miyabi Kaizen 8 inch Chef knife for $99 is actually a real nice deal for anyone interested in Japanese-Western knife. I have the pleasure of testing one for a few days. I wrote a short review a year and half ago.
It is beautiful and I would rank it a better than the Tojiro DP Chefâs knife (in term of profile and finish), which by all means is also a good knife too. I still use my Tojiro often.
I also like the Shun Asian Chefâs knife above, but it is a little short at 7 inch.
The Breville Compact Smart Oven? I have it too. I like it too.

LOL. I think you got a point. From a fund raising perspective, posting discounts like these is actually really inefficient. We raised like 10 bucks or something from this thread so far. But at the very least if someone happens to be shopping for gifts it can save them some $$$ and bi-product is also positive for the site.
I think weâll set up a contribution page at some point to raise money to grow the site. Before we do that, just want to make sure that we are very clear in communicating why we need the money, what we are using them for and what results we should anticipate. Just want to be responsible with any donations. Because if we just want status quo, the site doesnât need donations, it can pretty much sustain itself.
But thanks for the idea though. Will keep you posted. Do elaborate, how does contributing add to your happiness? Feeling more vested?
