Here’s to moist turkey and a bountiful table–hopefully full of people, food, and drink that you enjoy!
Whether you’re cooking or not, here’s to a good holiday for all.

Cheers
Here, have some pie.
Surprisingly, for a holiday that is usually imagined as a full table of food, I never really look forward to anything edible on Thanksgiving except the desserts. So tyvm for the pie pic
Just want to wish all of you a very happy Thanksgiving…I’m grateful to have this community of HOs in my life!
Hope you all enjoy good company and of course, good food!

P.S. Here’s a photo for @seal Because I know he likes sweets… it’s a family favorite called Cranberry Crunch. Served hot with vanilla ice cream
Looks great @CurlzNJ !
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! It’s great being part of this AWESOME community!
Happy Thanksgiving all. Cheers
Happy Turkey Day everyone. Time to break out the sweatpants for some serious Ho’ing out at the table
Same to you all!!! I will post pics of my Thanksgiving buffet from Aruba tomorrow!!! Till then remember to always live your life so you have…
Alright who is going to fly down and bail Bob out?
I see that @Ttrockwood has liked last year’s pie, which is - of course - no longer with us. So I present this year’s pie. It’s sour cream apple walnut. Just like last year. I always make the same pie. I got good at it, and now I’m locked in. Not complaining, though.

That looks (and sounds) DELICIOUS!!! Thx for sharing!
Happy turkey day indeed! We are not a turkey loving household so I just roasted a couple of legs and thighs, which were ignored in favor of Serious Eats’ sous vide, deep fried, all belly porchetta:
Incredibly delicious and very little effort. Even the deep frying was pretty simple - just an inch of oil in a large skillet did the job. Highly recommended!
thanksgiving this year is quite different with alpha gal ( confirmed allergic to red meat acc to specialist based on lab report although I still am not sure that it may be a false positive as I have never had a reaction )
Son returned home 3 days ago, GF arrived last night , both from Amsterdam, separate flight
I am cooking a very small organic fresh turkey ( 13 lbs) with giblet gravy ( added red wine to it and heavy cream )
Roasted Brussel sprouts with coconut vinegar ( pinoy spice ) as dip
serious eat’s savory corn pudding ( followed recipe except used smoked paprika and added saffron as well as chef Bernard’s wild fennel pollen for vegetable ) Picture taken before I broiled it so, it looks anemic.
roast yam with coconut glaze and rum
serious eat’s apple and bourbon pecan pie ( there is some problem with that recipe which suggest 3 lbs of apples. I only used 2.5 lb and cannot accommodate those apples as well as the 2.5 cup pecan with caramel sauce in the pie)
My pie does not look very good,
have problem as the 29 year old MIele dishwasher no longer has hot water. Advised by Miele that I should not buy a Miele as they do not service my area. So, after 29 years, deiced to retire it. Am bring to make opportunity of the holiday but it seems between the doctor’s appointments, trip to the airport and cooking, may miss my chance.
Well, I invited my. neighbor next door who is alone over and so, only 4 of us and the 2 poms.
Tomorrow, son is having guest over for sea food festival!
Dinner over, having coffee but pie not yet served.
Turkey was good, gravy excellent , yams and savory corn was also good. The Brussels Prout with the Pinoy coconut vinegar was good too
So I am celebrating Thanksgiving with the family in Aruba, where the holiday is simply celebrated for the American tourists.
They had an impressive raw bar so apps were peel n eat shrimp, crab claws and oysters.
While there was a myriad of choices for dinner (buffet) here is some Aruban rosemary turkey, beef bugandy and their stuffing. (very, very, very bad stuffing)
Regardless of the quality of the food the company more than makes up for it. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
I had dinner with mom, sister, and BIL at my mom’s assisted living facility - the cook did a VERY good job! Since I’m incapable of not cooking Turkey Day dinner (and I miss doing so for Mom), I’ll be cooking again tomorrow for myself - so it’ll be Turkey Day Groundhog Day for me. Although I’ll be making different sides.
That would be quite a big one by UK standards.
It’s about the weight we’d buy for Xmas Day lunch for the family (nine of us) with enough for leftovers for a couple of meals the two of us.
