Group Dinner 6/28 at Wu's

Gorgeous pics!

My 2c on what we ate (hope others will add theirs too):

  • Loved the wontons, broth less so
  • Roast pig was served cold, but the skin was crispy and it was well-seasoned (even without the scallion-ginger or hoisin sauces)
  • Oysters were better than I was expecting, but not the dish @small_h was expecting - maybe those are the fried oysters?
  • I love snow pea leaves in any form! (Next time there I do want to try the crab version…)
  • Chicken (topped with scallions and a peppery sauce) was very silky - unclear if this was actually the Sand chicken or the Ginger chicken (there’s also a Chicken with Scallion Sauce on the bbq page which it may more likely have been - the one above it is called Steamed Chicken, so that’s what @SteveR probably actually ordered…)
  • Crispy flounder was tasty, though we (especially @vinouspleasure’s wife I’m sure) were expecting more than the skeleton to be crispy
  • I don’t think I’ve had an agar agar jelly dessert since I was a kid (when my mom made it all the time)
  • I missed some plain rice to soak up flavors, I realized long after the fact…
