Mission G.O. SF had a bunch of Strauss organic ice cream- strawberry, vanilla bean, mint chip, chocolate banana. They also had magnums and six packs of Anchor Steam’s 2019 Christmas ale but they were regular price.

Have you tried this? In the Los Angeles area, they have that balsamic on sale for $4 right now. (Same brand, different packaging, as you say.) If it really is condiment quality, would make a great holiday gift to have on hand…

It’s great - super sweet and syrupy

That is awesome news!

Thanks for the fast reply, now I can hit up my GO today to stock up.

Just be aware it’s really sweet with almost no acidity. I drizzle it on salads and good with cheese

Good to know. I thought it was more of a finishing touch - to be used on fruit and cheese and it sounds like that might be it indeed.

I like it! Like brisket44 said, it’s sweet, syrupy, and not very acidic. I use it to top off my avocado toast because it doesn’t drain off the toast like thinner, similarly priced balsamic vinegars. (Written like a true CA hipster! LOL!)

Great to have this feedback. I went today and picked up four, may go and pick up more. Especially as I have a friend who is an avocado toast addict : )

Mission SF, S. Van Nesss.
They had crispy rice and toffee Charles Chocolates.
I actually picked up a couple bottles of that rose at the Daly City G.O. a couple days ago for $3.99 a bottle - TJ’s has it for about $15 a bottle (easy to identify it has a glass cork).
The Daly City G.O. also had 2016 Mendocino and Anderson Valley pinot noirs from Woodenhead for $15 and $20 respectively - these are good pinots and usually sell for $45-$60 a bottle.
I didn’t buy the Prego pizza sauce but at 20 cents a jar you might want to throw a kids pizza making party just for the fun of it.

I envy you the Wind Gap! Hit multiple GO’s on SpCal and could not find it…

That’s the thing about G.O. wines, the good ones disappear pretty quickly. You have to try one soon after buying to see of it’s worth stocking up before they are gone. Last week I opened a pretty incredible Santa Cruz Mountains pinot noir that I bought a few months back but have not been able to find it since and regret not stocking up.

Ilike thier deli section -

$1.99 Good Culture Whole Milk Sour Cream with Probiotics, 16 oz., using milk from pasture raised cows. Thickest sour cream I’ve ever had, no fillers or preservatives. Distributed by Good Culture of Irvine, CA.

$1.07 Lantana Sriracha Carrot Hummus made with white beans and topped with sunflower seeds and apricots, 10 oz., distributed by Lantana Foods of Austin, TX. For a change of pace, a white bean hummus at this price is a no-brainer. I like the taste. Best by 12/25/19.

$1.07 Lantana Edamame Hummus made with edamame and white beans with roasted red pepper and toasted sesame seeds. 10 oz. Best by 12/25/19. Only downside of Lantana is that they use canola oil.

99 cents, Mori-Nu Organic Silken Tofu, 12 oz. from Morinaga of Torrance, CA.

99 cents, President Feta Marinated Cubes in Olive Oil, 3.5 oz. , product of France. Made with sheep milk.

Others -

$3.99 Carandini Emilio Balsamic Vinegar, 8.45 oz. bottle in a box., from Italy.

$1.99 MIssion Mini Mexican Hass Avocados, 2 lb. From Uruapan, Mexico, still very firm.

99 cents, Simple Truth Organic Lentil Vegetable Soup, 17 oz., in testra pak. lentils, carrots, celery, tomato paste, spinach, Best By August 2020.

$4.99 Belmondo Pinot Noir Trevenezie 2017 from Italy, 1.5 liter bottle. Aromas of cherry, Tastes of red fruit, tangerine, earthiness with touch of cocoa and licorice. Light body, not complex, mild tannins, weak finish. Nothing notable but not offensive. Should go well with the white bean hummus and at 1.5 liters, there’s lots of it.
