Greece with the kids! Advice?

This summer my family of four (including two kids, now ages 4 and 2) will be traveling to Greece and Denmark. I’ve done some research, and we have some local friends in most of the places where we’re going. But if anyone has advice or suggestions for great food, I’d love to hear about it. Likely not looking for high-end stuff or fine-dining, but happy to hear about restaurants, bakeries, ice cream, snacks, etc.

We had some great help for our other Europe trips to UK/Portugal and Switzerland/Italy so hoping someone here has some good info. This topic will focus on Greece. My other topic about Copenhagen is here.

Greece Itinerary:
• 2 nights in Athens. Then ferry to Patmos (where we’ll be with my entire extended family for 6 nights). Then it’ll be the four of us again for two nights in Rhodes, before we fly to Copenhagen.

In Athens, we’re staying in Thiseio at a place that has a kitchen, though I think we’ll largely eat out. In Patmos, we’re staying at a hotel w/ our large group, so if anyone reading this has been to Patmos recently, I’d love to hear any tips. The last time I was there was back in 2007! In Rhodes, we’re staying on the east side of the Old Town. I’ve never been to Rhodes before, and we really just have one evening and then one full day (arriving on ferry from Patmos).

Looking forward to hearing any thoughts, and wish me luck traveling all the way to Athens (with a six-hour CPH layover) w/ two young kiddos!
