Hot smoked is relatively unusual here and I’d expect a British recipe to specify it.
On the rare occasions when I buy it in a supermarket, it’s always labelled “hot smoked” whereas normal smoked salmon is just labelled “smoked salmon”.
The new series of Bake Off starts tomorrow on Channel 4. “Bake Off - Extra Slice” will, as usual, be on Fridays hosted by Jo Brand (although I don’t know if Channel 4 sells this internationally) .
