Gabriellas (Italian steakhouse) coming to middletown nj

I saw this posted on their Instagram and was totally confused by the concept. Why is a dinner steakhouse serving brunch? Dress to impress at noon?? I realize I’m not their target demographic! Haha

I was looking to limit scope of my point, but yes agree- we could also extend the range out to Old Bridge/Matawan to the North and Tom’s River/Jackson/Brick to the SOuht

My biggest problem(s) with both Osteria and Cuzin’s isn’t the food, isn’t the service or prices, it’s the customers. I can’t be bothered putting up with them.

It’s that Industry Magazine crowd demographic. I’m not in it either.

I wonder if those dancers are covered by Workmen’s Compensation & Disability insurance. A fall would be nasty…

I had to search for that lol

Yeah, no.

this thread coupled with Mr P’s post on his beloved spot up north closing really bums me out about the restaurant world. A legit cuisine driven spot can’t continue b/c the chef pretty much just wants to be able to have healthcare for his kids but the booze for bozos model thrives with fat margins.

I have a feeling the situation will be here once he gets out.

Funny story…

I’m at a restaurant one night and for some reason I took my money clip out and set it on the table. The waiter comes by and greets us. He then says “Sir, that is a beautiful money clip. Is that your name?” It had NY$E engraved in it. I literally just started laughing and thinking "yeah bro, my name is nice but spelled with a y and a dollar sign lol. " I dont look anything like a rapper or ball player either.

What a difference a week makes. My family and I actually went to Gabriella’s the week before this event around 3 and were one of 2 tables when we were sat. One other table came in during the 1.5 hours we were there. For apps we shared a dozen easy coast oysters which were fresh and I like their mignonette. We shared one slice of bacon which had good flavor and my wife and I both thought the sauce cut through the fattiness of the bacon with a nice acidity. I got the dry aged strip as my entree and like others on here previously said it did not have much of that dry aged flavor you would expect. My wife got the wet aged rib eye which was tender and actually seemed more flavorful. Both were cooked a perfect medium rare. My son ate his whole burger and said he enjoyed it. My 3 year old happily ate her kids steak. All in all we really did enjoy the meal. Hopefully this brunch doesn’t spill into the rest of the time their open.

My apologies on the typo. Hopefully this doesn’t end up turning tit for tat.
