[Finland] Food and restaurants recommendations in Helsinki ?

We will have a long stopover in Helsinki for a long haul fright in late June. Any restaurant or local food recommendations will be welcomed! We will arrive in time for a dinner and the next day, a breakfast and a lunch before leaving in the early evening. Thanks.

Some research so far:

I would really like to try sapas from Juuri for sure.

I have heard a lot of recommendations on Cafe Regatta. I don’t know if it’s far from the city centre.

Food market, I have been thinking of visiting either one of these places:
• Vanha kauppahalli (Old Market Hall)
• Hietalahden kauppahalli (Hietalahti Market Hall)

Food I would like to try:
• Lohikeitto (salmon soup)
• Grillimakkara (grilled sausages)

• Salmiakki (salty liquorice)

Bought a box. Sweet and salty at the same time, I find them alright, DH couldn’t eat it, he felt eating dead fish. Maybe the reason why they used the fish as their form?

He prefers the classical liquorice, comparatively, I find them sweeter and more mild in taste than those in France.

• Karjalanpiirakka (rice pies)

Karjalanpiirakka - rice pie from the Karelian region, it has a think rye crust with a filling of rice or potato and butter mixed with boiled egg. We have tried both versions, the seller recommended the potato one, I have preferred the rice one. But since they were cold, I didn’t find them very appetizing. I saw in the Bourdain’s show that the pie were like an accompaniment served with a stew in a tradition meal.

Our stopover in Helsinki in late June permitted us to have 2.5 meal there. In order to able to have an early lunch and catch the plane to Asia, we pretty much skipped the breakfast.
