Favorite SF Wine bars

I’ll be coming from the Atlanta area to San Francisco next week for a few days. I won’t be able to get to the Sonoma or Napa area, so I’m hoping to find a wine bar in the city to wile away a few hours one afternoon or evening.

I’'m traveling solo, so my preference is for a wider selection of wines by the glass rather than a deep list of bottles.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

I’m more of a beer enjoyer than a wine enjoyer, but some ideas:

If you enjoy natural wines, I like Millay in the Duboce Triangle. They also have a very good sake selection by the glass.

A wine bar that has excellent food is Binu Bonu in West Portal, some impressions here:

Another wine bar with good food (sandwiches, etc.) is Palm City Wines in the Outer Sunset. Some impressions on HO here:

You didn’t mention where you’re staying, but if you are looking for something downtown there is Press Club.

Eater also has a list of wine bars that may be of interest:

Just to add to what @Mr_Happy listed, Binu Bonu has excellent wines and snacks but they are all Italian wines. If you are looking for California wines Press Club is the place. It all depends on where you are staying/if you want to travel. Check the hours too I think Press Club is evenings only, but Binu Bonu opens late afternoon (but closed a couple days during the week).
