Yes. Simon Gilbert is actually singing. I looked it up.
I’m still trying to figure out the relation to pizza. Is it the title of the song? Maybe I’m extra-dense today - if so, mea culpa
The impossible dream is the quest for the ideal frozen pizza.
Ok, so the title. Phew. Thought I was losing my GD mind
I’ll keep my day job.
Hard to argue with your early post.
IMO, frozen pizza always brings with it the concept of no-better-choice. It’s a compromise for which we pay a price beyond the cash register. So maybe completely suck fits, but utterly sucks?
This may be deserving of its own thread, but if time and logistics allow, I’d much rather buy a take-n-bake (e.g., Papa Murphy), and mildly pimp it, than either surrender to frozen or scratch-assemble onto a crust from premade dough.
The photos of this brand don’t look very appetizing to me.
What do you like about this brand? What distinguishes it for you?
Thanks.
Four individual nearly 1 pounders?
I always add extra provolone to any pizza…
I’ve never found a frozen pizza that was generous with cheese.
I’m surprised it’s not the Hungry Man brand
It’s Costco.
Would you expect anything less (literally and figuratively)?
They do pizza? I’ve always been morbidly fascinated by the trough sized frozen dinners. Never tried one. Maybe I should. YOLO.
I don’t know if they do. But at a pound a pie, they may as well.
No, they don’t.
The “Hungry Woman” lobby wouldn’t let them. They didn’t want to be left out.
they all taste the same to me, I just buy what’s on sale.
I literally have a pretty good pizza place in the ground floor of my building here in NYC, so I don’t have frozen pizza often. During COVID quarantine though I started doctoring up Whole Foods brand pizzas and found them to be serviceable to decent.
If I lived in NYC I don’t think this thread would exist
I like Costco’s Vicolo pizzas, with the cornmeal crusts. They’re in the fridge, not the freezer, but I freeze them when I get home. Half of one makes a good lunch.
Red Baron for thin crust, Freschetta or Di Giorno for rising crust.
