Fancy or unusual chocolate varieties

Well, at least they sent you some chocolate. That’s a pretty sweet outcome, and it makes me think about companies I’d like to send me stuff

Which forum was this, exactly?

BoingBoing, which, sadly, has fallen so very, very far from it’s heyday. It’s a ghost of its former self. All of the really popular writers left: Xeni Jardin, Cory Doctorow, Annalee Newlitz, all gone. They started working ads into the main feed. But the death stroke was when they moved their comments off discourse (like HO), and onto substack, behind a paywall, which basically killed off a community that had been around since the early 2000’s.

The M&S Big Daddy, now in a pistachio variation. No kadayif. Fairly expensive, at £9.25 a bar, but it’s a big bar, weighing in at 280 grams. Lovely packaging, completely plastic-free and recyclable. While it is inspired by the current craze for all things pistachio, it doesn’t seem to be a knockoff of the Dubai bar as it doesn’t have any crunchy pastry component such as kadayif. I thought I detected a faint crunch when I tried a bit but I checked the ingredient list and there was nothing pastry like in it. Maybe it was from the nuts. Very nice, very rich. I found it a bit too sweet because it is milk and white chocolate based.

I think due to the recent pistachio craze — presumably thanks to the Dubai chocolate trend — pistachio products & pistachios have gone up in price.

We were charged 0.30 € extra for a scoop of pistachio ice cream versus any other ice cream, and this was the case at several gelato places, both in Sicily and Berlin.

Aren’t you the one responsible for it? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Single-handedly, of course

They look interesting (except for the mint option which can get in the sea) but I’m trying to get my head around nationality with “home run” being one option and “nan” being another.
