Falk Phasing out Coer

Falk has just announced it’s “fazing” out the Coer line. On significant sale.

Starting in October, a new line, Classic Fusion will be available. It appears to be copper bimetal with a bonded bottom induction disk (i.e., the way they should have done it originally). From the one blurry photo I’ve seen, the disk does not add conductive material to be bottom. So, it’s likely the same layup as Prima Matera. We can hope it’s 2.3mm of copper, up from Coer’s 1.9mm

Right you are about the disk. This shop is showing a photo of one of these pans, with a list price of €345:

I’m not sure I’d be able to handle the extra weight if the copper goes from 1.9 to 2.3. We just picked up the 11 inch copper coeur, and that is a handful.

Falk is introducing the new bimetal line:

Some have 1.4mm copper, others still 2.3mm. A little confusing.
