Trader Joe’s has Dorot brand sugar-cube sized frozen cubes of mashed garlic, ginger, and basil. I like them, especially the garlic, which never has the harsh bite fresh garlic can have. Convenient and the right size when cooking smaller amounts of food.

Cilantro, too. I mentioned the Dorot products upthread - especially the garlic, which tastes much better to me than the jarred (tho I still prefer fresh for cold applications like dressings.
I remember seeing those in the stores years ago and congratulating myself for my DIY skills of putting herbs and such , along with baby food blends, in ice cube trays and jelly bean size molds. Very practical and ecological.
