Thanks. If you don’t mind reading eCOOKbooks, subscribe the mailing list of Bookbub, daily new offers in your mailbox. I got many interesting cook books at $1.99 or $2.99, including authors like Andrea Nguyen, Ottolenghi, Nancy Silverton… or Bourdain’s Kitchen Confidential… Now I need the time to read / cook / digest all these.
What format do these books come in?
At $1.99, I just bought it and think later. It helped of course that I wanted to buy the print version last year any way.
You choose your format in your preference when you sign up the newsletter. I choose iBook (Mac/iOS), but I just bought my first kindle amazon ebook with the link… These books can be handy when the day I want to cook a certain cuisine.
Or, just getting more familiar with a cuisine and its components.

“Chef Peternell, chef at Chez Panisse, offers an informal crash course in the “big 12” recipes “at the heart of home cooking.” His inspiration comes from his family kitchen and the realization that his son, attempting to cook while away at college, hadn’t absorbed cooking know-how through osmosis. While Peternell assembles this collection of recipes, tips, and loving reflections as a gift to his son, he creates more than a handbook for beginning cooks. In this survey of cooking basics, Peternell inspires home cooks to “break some rules” and let intuition be their guide.”
