Curious food items you've seen, but have no interest in buying or trying

I use a tablespoon of frothed Coffee Mate Italian Creme to make my morning cortado. Otherwise my Illy espresso machine makes a fairly bitter brew. Probably due to it being an Iper-capsule type of machine.
But i do like cutting my coffee w a mildly flavored cream of some sort. When i get a professional doppio espresso they are usually less bitter than the versions i make myself, and i drink them without creamer.

I add a splash of vigorously shaken half & half to imitate frothed. I can’t drink coffee black, unless it is espresso.

I am not a gadget guy but this $10 frother has earned a special place in my heart. It has its own stand and it cleans quickly. It makes my homemade cortado much smoother.

Oh, I have a frothing attachment on my Mueller stick blender — I just can’t be arsed to put it together, and enjoy madly shaking that half & half for the same results

I admit, I buy one bag of pumpkin spiced coffee beans in the fall, to make pumpkin spice drip coffee at home.

I keep it far away from the house coffee supply because it would be traumatic for my DCs. LOL

I find them cute. We also have butter tart and Nanaimo bar booze, made by various small distilleries across Ontario. I have gifted them but I haven’t tried any yet.

those are handy for making Greek Nescafe Frappes, too.

I thought you shoot it straight into your mouth after or before having dried out, tasteless white meat

Seen at Aldi today. Srsly? Frozen grilled fucking cheese? :exploding_head:

O tempora, o mores

I could totally see myself purchasing this a few years back. Being not even remotely a super-parent, sometimes the best I was willing or able to do when my kids were young and a food request came in at some odd hour: “Oh, you’re hungry? Fine, shut up and toss this in the microwave.” (Or alternatively, if no microwave thing like this existed, they’d get a granola bar or something. But I’m 99% sure they would have taken the grilled cheese if it was on offer.)

I can’t imagine it being much faster than making a grilled cheese yourself. Takes my dude less than 5 min, and we’re far from super-parents. In fact, we’re no parents at all :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I can’t even get the pan properly heated up in 5 minutes.

Well, then I guess we found the focus group for the product

I love coffee and I love cheese. But this is a hard no.

I think Wegmans used to sell this, along with a red wine version and another one. The red wine wasn’t too bad, and a former client of mine always ordered the espresso variety. I can’t quite wrap my head around it, either.

Agreed on the red wine version. I like my coffee in a mug with cream.
