@bbqboy thanks! Cal fire and I have spent much time together this week, but I don’t know if there is a way of signing up for mobile phone alerts. I didn’t see one in the link. The alert we have is by city, but this fire may have spread too fast for that. Do you know of a way to sign up for Nor Cal evacuation messages?

Thank you. Now that I think about it, I have a friend who texted me one early Wed morning. Couldn’t figure out how to sign up, but I’ll figure it out.

Since I’m in Oregon 20 miles from California
in the middle of forests I keep track of both states.

That’s what I said.
I don’t want to jinx anything. My immediate neighborhood does not look like Paradise did, although some are comparing nearby communities to it.
My son said “So you just HAD to live on the edge of the (incorporated) city.”
This is my son living on a farm off the Black Sea in Turkey (eye roll).
We were so close to being out there (unincorporated part of county) , but wanted garbage pick up, and city water vs a well.
