Could someone who has Good Things summarize her recipe for vin d’orange for me please? Going to make some if I can get some Seville oranges.

I have vin d’orange in my fridge right now. It is a delight and you can find many recipes for it online to help. you through the process.

Samin’s recipe calls for 6 Seville or Bouquet de fleurs oranges, 1 orange or blood orange and 1 lemon (although I have used a mixture of lemons, regular oranges and kumquats to approximate the nuanced flavor of Sevilles which are impossible to find in California).
The recipes also asks for 3 bottles of crisp bright white wine or rose (I use rose) 2 c. vodka, 1 2/3 c. sugar and 1 vanilla bean.

I don’t think I am allowed to quote the recipe here, but with these ingredients any online recipe will get you to where you need to go.

Do get this book. It is a treasure.

Hi everyone!

We’ll leave the nominations open until Jan 26, and then assess whether a vote is needed.

At the moment, Samin Nosrat quarter looks like it will be one of the selections.

We’ll tally the other nominations as we go forward to see if there’s an obvious second or two or three choices to vote on.

Please remember that to be counted as a nomination, you have to add an author or title yourself, in ALL CAPS — “Liking” someone else’s nomination does not count as a nomination.
