Cookware, and Food Storage containers, on Prime Day

Food and Wine recently had an article reviewing food storage and food prep containers, some of which will be on sale on Prime Day

On Amazon Prime Day, we can click the HO Prime link to help out HO on Prime Day, win win!

I’m interested in glass, oven-proof and microwave proof containers, so I’m filing this thread under Cookware!

Any thoughts on the brands of storage prep containers that are freezer, microwave and oven proof?

I only currently own Pyrex, Anchor Hocking and some Luminarc.

I’m not familiar with most of the brands selling on Amazon.

TIA!

Has anyone purchased JoyJolt products? https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B09N4ZKCH6

I have lots of brands of glass containers and I think I like glasslock the best.

Our cat sitter turned us on to those, and we have a set we like.

That said, wasn’t this post meant to highlight Prime deals on Amazon with which Hungry Onion can be supported?

In the U.S.:

GLASSLOCK Smart 20-Piece Glass Food Storage and Meal Prep Set - 100% Airtight & Leakproof, BPA Free lids, Freezer to Oven Safe, Meal Prep https://a.co/d/8h2pby1

GLASSLOCK 125 Oz Glass Food Storage set of 2 – Large Capacity, Airtight & Leak-Proof, BPA Free Lid with Carry Handle, Microwave, Dishwasher, Fridge & Freezer Safe, Marinating, Sauce, Fruit Storage https://a.co/d/6DDsxnx

The OP is in Canada – I’ll bet she can find deals for her country.

Thanks! That 20 piece Glasslock set is up my alley, but it costs $95 CAD through Amazon Dot CA.

This is why I used to hit the Corningware outlet in Monroe Michigan :joy:. I’m still using some Corning Ware I bought in 1993 :joy:

Canadians sometimes get the short end of the Amazon Prime Day Stick!

Appreciate your thoughts and Christina’s on Glasslock.

I bought this 4 piece set.

If you decide you’d like to add to your collection, and it makes financial sense, I’m happy to buy and ship the Sam’s Club set and you can reimburse me. Not sure what shipping is like though.

Shipping is ridiculous to and from Canada :joy:

I appreciate the offer, though

I wouldn’t mind if we did a HO Secret Santa at some point. It was a lot of fun in a Foodie FB group.

My thoughts on 2 of the top 5 as per Food & Wine. The glasslocks so far are very good. Nice, tight seal and the lids don’t take up any interior space. Haven’t had any chipping.

Their #3, the Pyrex, is very good glass (again no chipping or other problems), but the lids suck. All the rectangular lids wanted to bow upward in the center, so they were unsealed and we had to put a couple of rubber bands around them to keep them closed. They also cracked along the sides. The circular lids fit just fine, but began cracking pretty early on and after that, no longer sealed, either.

Their #2 looks like a pretty close cousin to the Glasslock type of lid sealing system.

Totally with you on the Pyrex lids. I wish those Prep Naturals came in multiple sizes without dividers.

I thought razab 1520ML Glass Set - Set of 2 Pc is best fit. Razab contain different sizes food storage containers. Best thing is removable silicone seals for easy cleaning.
