This is an excellent restaurant that has received sporadic mention on this site. (See this as an introduction to other mentions .)
I’ve eaten there several times since I last wrote about it. The sator goong is still exceptional, tongue&lip-ticklingly so, as are the crab dumplings, and the chive pancakes (more like thick omelettes). So also the phuket pak mor. (See the posts linked to above.) Even their simply stir fried greens have been superb.
Eat there, folk, and eat there often.

Good to know. Need to try. Sadly, or not, depending on how you look it, I dont spend nearly the same time there as I used to

Let me consolidate other mentions of Cha Long here:
We had a fantastic meal at this bustling Southern Thai place, thanks to @fooddabbler ’s recommendation in my (admittedly wide-cast and extremely vague ) inquiry for a dining suggestion “somewhere between the UWS and Chelsea.”

Day 3:
Full from dinner and a day of eating, we woke up in search of coffee and decided to try Arvaci which we’d walked by on 37th and which appeared to roast their own beans. It seems like half the little coffee shops are roasting La Columbe and dishing up nothing special, but Arvaci was a total score- they are serious about their drip coffee and espresso drinks alike, and we went back several times. I would seek out one of their locations again in a heartbeat.
