The large Matfer colander that is arguably the best ever made is only $126, and even that is outrageously priced. http://www.culinarycookware.com/conical-colander.html
I like where he said it keeps foodefromschtiken. I didn’t know I understood German.
Fun to watch.
I can’t find any info on Finex cast iron. I remember when they did a Kickstarter promo but now I see them sold at Williams Sonoma. I’m just not convinced to pay $250 or more for a pan when I can grind down a lodge pan for $10 in suppplies.
The people over at ATK are cast iron experts. Because they said so. And probably also because they are coming out with a cast iron cookbook they would like to sell.
Yes she kind of messed up the “history of cast iron cookware” questions. I’d love to see a video on how to hand-hammer a cast iron pan!
ATK is more focused on testing recipes in their kitchens. Sometimes they find interesting new techniques. But some of their ideas are really goofy and I don’t like the way they always present their findings as authoritative.
The SeriousEats guy seemed to know what he was talking about.
