A poor pic of a good burger at Nicholas.
Just happy to contribute to a fine thread.

I think I have a problem. Drifthouse Tuesday burger.

Nicholas does do a very good burger. However, they don’t cook behind the bar. Just saying.
And a general vent - in an effort to make the $25 burger look less like the rip it is, restaurants have taken to putting tons of crap on the burger. Yes, you can specify “plain” - but why should I need to and why should I pay for crap I won’t eat?

The above burger is from The River Pointe in Rumson. This burger is from Mabel at Bell Works. Hauntingly familiar, but River Pointe wins. Better meats, actually medium rare, and closer to my house. Worth the extra $6

Best wings around here and in general it’s a great place .Shepherds pie is my favorite thing here with a Guinness. I like this place and don’t get here often enough.

B2Bistro, Red Bank. It was OK.

That bun seems sad…

Burger bun ratio out of whack, medium rare served well done, advertised dry aged bland and dry…but the fries were good.

Fries are IMPORTANT!

I agree - fries are important. And they appear to be the rarest thing around these days. Does anyone still make actual, real French fries anymore? I know the Galley does but I don’t like the small size. Pascal & Sabines does, but there’s nowhere to park. Nicholas does, but that’s in Middletown. Mostly it’s frozen stuff, with preparation ranging from nice to garbage.
Thoughts?
