Better soup ladle?

Looks interesting. But seems to be a japanese stuff couldn’t find it easily.

I found this, is it the same ladle?

I prefer wood myself. This looks good to me.

More from the same company here.

Bummer. It is available from Global Rakuten for 1131 yen (less than $10), but EMS shipping to the US might make it too pricey.

(PS. I don’t think your link shows the same ladle, the T-Fal doesn’t self-stand like that.)

Here’s a link to the Rakuten listing. (Note: Rakuten uses machine translation for non-Japanese customers, so expect some pretty odd English.)

Thank you for the link. Indeed it’s a different one. The one in my link is design from Tate Otama.

I like it with a flat bottom, but less with the plastic, and it’s less flexible. (Note, it has a metal version, but yet to find it not as a prototype.)

I think your T-Fal win in the usage that PegS need, and the silicone is much better choice compared to a nylon one.

I think you might be looking for something like this:

I think this is the ladle you for you.

My cat wants that one.

Reporting back…I ended up buying this Le Creuset one when I went to my local Sur La Table. The red part is silicone and the black part is hard nylon. It seems to work fairly well, so thanks to Hal and everyone who recommended silicone as an alternative.

Looks promising. Does it fulfill your requirement?[quote=“PegS, post:1, topic:2729”]
I’m especially looking for one what may not be the traditional round shape so I can actually get into all the inside edges of soup pot.

Naf, it seems to do a pretty good job.
