DELECTABLE: SWEET AND SAVORY BAKING by Claudia Fleming

GATEAU sounds intriguing.

Anyone have Savory Baking? Any thoughts on that? Just saw it in a bookstore and was drawn to it.

I received this for Christmas, and am reading my way through it. Thus far, while I haven’t been motivated to make a particular recipe, I have gotten a lot of ideas about modifying recipes I already make to resemble some of the dishes presented. She also talks quite a bit about technique, and I feel I’m learning a bit and getting a lot of useful tips. I find the batch/portion sizes can be quite generous, so for our household, I’ll have to scale things down. I’m sure I’ll end up baking something directly from it (ETA: but maybe not a lot).
