While I understand it’s wild, I didn’t really notice any difference in taste than stuff I get locally at a brick-and-mortar store in SoCal (like Wild Fork or Huntington Meats).
I know it’s probably my own quirk, I generally prefer to source my meats and seafood from a brick-and-mortar store, rather than online, unless its absolutely something I cannot get “on the ground”.

Honestly I didn’t think Hawaii had deer - but apparently they do as an invasive species. I had no idea - and so clearly have never tried it. lol
