We recently had a Sunday lunch/dinner with friends at Anjelica’s , outdoors in their stunning alley. I didn’t think they can outdo themselves but they DID! It was absolutely delicious . One of the appetizers was their incredible charcuterie plate, followed by the bronzino, which was perfectly crispy served with artichoke hearts , roasted potatoes and capers… and THEN their famous Sunday sauce…omg, incredible! Consistently delicious .

That pasta looks better than the pasta served at McLoones to HeidiC&B recently. Glad you enjoyed!

FYI they are no longer taking reservations over the phone…everything online. Talked to a few buddies who were trying to get in for summer dates and they are basically full every weekend already.

Had dinner inside last night. Like everyone else, they are still sorting through the new mask regulations and it was a jumble of masked and unmasked walkers through the restaurant.

The food and the prices remain mostly the same. From apps to pastas to mains, it was all still very good. I especially enjoyed their take on Bucatini Cacio e Pepe as they always have some fine cheese.

They were always one of the few places I would order chocolate mousse. Theirs was rich and yet light and I’ve had it often over the years. But it was off the menu!!! I tried the chocolate pie instead and found that same mousse in the filling, so all is well.

Yesterday we struck actual gold, we did our annual visit with friends at their beach club for labor day weekend and decided to walk around sea bright. We asked at Angelica’s about sitting for an early dinner and scored an outside table!!! Started with pork stuffed green olives (delicious and shocked I haven’t had these before) and peach and burrata salad. Perfect. Mains, we split a halibut fish special (pan fried perfection) and puttenesca pasta. Skipped dessert since we were already on borrowed time for our various babysitters but man, what luck! Great meal!

CB70!!! I don’t know if you do it intentionally but each one of your posts is like a cliffhanger!!! Ok - it’s their take on a bologna sandwich, care to elaborate on that a bit?
Pesto? Mozz? Balalmic drizzle? Oscar Mayer? lol Do tell please…

Mortadella, pesto, burrata, pistachios…rather than Oscar Meyer, French’s Yellow Mustard on Wonder Bread.

Hi !! does anyone know if Anjelica’s “pop-up” at the Deal casino will have a liquor license?

Being a member of Deal Casino I can say I HIGHLY doubt it. I knew they had the concession at the Elberon Beach Club, this is the first I’m hearing of them at Deal Casino. Interesting

More info please!

On a cold and windy Spring afternoon, we seek refuge at the incredible Anjelica’s! Is it possible the food is getting better and better each time we go ? :pray:t2:
