Andersen's split pea soup?

My best friend, a Southern California transplant who now lives in Orlando, has a tradition of serving Andersen’s split pea soup for Thanksgiving. Since Andersen’s has closed, she hasn’t been able to find any, so I thought I’d turn to the HO experts to see if anyone has some suggestions. I’m probably going to suggest that she try one of the online copycat recipes. Thoughts? Thanks.

True, but their site won’t let me connect with the Marketplace. Maybe they’ve closed it?

This is the recipe.

Chiming back in to note that I have made the recipe I posted approximately 1000 times, and it is excellent.

My husband went to our Safeway and bought several cans. A happy ending. Now I just have to send them to Orlando.

I told the guy at UPS that sending 4 cans of soup to Florida for $25 is an historic event, because it’s never happening again. My best friend is going to have to make her own damn split pea soup for next year’s Thanksgiving!
