I bought the bonne maman jam calendar and still have a few to go. I can honestly say I am not impressed. Most of them seemed to taste the same. Money better spent would be to go to a european deli and buy a few jars with fruit that is not easily available here. Example gooseberry jam, honey made from different flowers, im happy to have those little jars though. Oh i liked the blueberry jam with honey and found a recipe on line.
Thank you! I ate all the stonefruit ones, but also the fig, which I also enjoyed. So far I have eaten them all stirred in to yogurt each morning.
I still have about 10 I havenāt tried yet.
Bingo. World Market, Home Goods and even Ocean State Job Lot have European brands available at way better prices than the $45.99 I think I spent at World Market for the Advent Calendar.
That was an option for me, but I always have English muffins on hand, whereas I donāt have Greek yogurt on hand as often. I just wanted the continuity, so Emuffs it was.
Regarding day 7 were your labels in french or english. Mine were in french
and it read blueberry with honey. I rather liked that jam
Mine were all in English, purchased at World Market. Interesting that yours were in French!
Iām in Canada
And there you goā¦
Thank you for your service! I remember liking several of the jams you enjoyed.
Re. the Bonne Maman calendar - for the last few years Iāve given DH the 24-jam version. He has gotten burned out on jam/EMs every day and slowed down halfway through, leaving little jam jars lingering until March. This year, I found a 12-jam version at Costco (back in the fall) and that seemed to work better. He didnāt like the coffee one but was happy with the remainder! So, maybe thatās the trick for Bonne Maman - look for the smaller version?
I went on their website before the holidays to see what they had in gift kits. What I saw at Costco was a better deal for the Advent calendars and the Twelve Days selelections. Iāve been trying to find their quince, just quince, but no luck anywhere. If I had access to quinces, Iād make my own!
American Spoon has quince conserve. Their stuff is usually very good.
lately iāve considered ordering them shipped to me. i love them so.
