Bissinger’s makes good chocolate. I just finished the last square of their dark chocolate/raspberry caramel bar, and I have a dark chocolate/caramelized blood orange bar waiting.

I noticed a Walkers Shortbread Advent Calendar today

(I went to Murray’s to see if they had jumped on the bandwagon, but I just noticed it’s also part of the F&W curated list @Phoenikia linked earlier.)
You can see the types of cheese in advance if you want to, and there are some accompaniments included as part of the 12. (Not a surprise if you look, but also maybe good to know in the case of cheese so you’re not paying $$$ for something you already dislike 
)
And it looks vacuum packed, so if it’s too much cheese, you can freeze it or leave it in the back of the fridge till you get to it.
THIRTY DOLLARS? That seems to be a steal if you drink tekillya!
I’ve always enjoyed Bissinger’s chocolate, and I don’t need the fancy-shmancy stuff.

my cousin sent me the Soma Catvent calendar one year, and the Soma Box of Plenty for Xmas another year..
nice stuff but the seasonal flavours in the Box of Plenty were a little quirky for my DCs and some stuff eventually was tossed.
Yikes.
So as of right now, it looks like they haven’t processed my order or charged my account, so I may have dodged a bullet. Fingers crossed!

So, we did send the Cheese Brothers advent calendar (12 Days of Cheesemas) to my brother-in-law and fam as a household gift. Turning out to be a hit with their family of cheese aficionados. Plus, the brothers angle is a bit of fun for my husband and his bro.
I’m happy when I can land a good match between gift and recipients. Whew.
Yay! Always great when a food gift (or any gift, for that matter) is well-received
