Anyone familiar with this brand? I was in Sprouts today and saw this brand which I had never seen before. They had 3 year, 7 year, and 11 year aged cheddar. I bought the 11 year which will be by far the longest aged cheddar I’ve had. Not sure when I’ll be trying it, but I’m looking forward to it.

I tried the 724 11-year cheddar. It was good, not as sharp as I expected it to be, but maximum sharpness isn’t the main thing I’m looking for in cheddars. It’s a little unusual in that it’s annatto orange, and I can’t recall having a cheddar that was aged very long that wasn’t white. It was $9.99 for 5 ounces which is about $32/pound, and there are cheaper cheddars that I like better than this one, so I probably won’t buy it again.
I also had some Belton Farm Red Fox aged red Leicester that I got from Safeway a little while ago. I really like that one. I’ll definitely buy it again if Safeway continues to carry it. I think it’s about $20/pound.
