Z&Y has changed the menu a lot over the past two years. The menu is tighter, with less distraction from non-Sichuan items. First, here’s what’s new:

On website as “New Dishes”, but not the menu
- Sichuan Beef (New Dish)
- Grill Whole Fish (New Dish)
They got rid of:
- Yunnan Style Rice Cake
- Tea tree mushroom in mini flaming pot
- The majority of the frog and intestine dishes (though some of those same dishes are made with other ingredients, so I wonder if they’re available by special request). The absence of these dishes certainly distinguishes Z & Y from various other Sichuan restaurants.
- Bitter melon with honey isn’t listed anymore. It used to be listed as Seasonal, so it’s worth asking about it
- A bunch of filler Cantonese, Chinese American, & all the Shanghainese items
- Some odder dishes like Feng Wine Beef, Turkey Style Grill Beef, Official Style Grill Pork,
- Wasabi w/ Chicken & Pork Intestine
- Coconut pumpkin soup
- I’ve heard they will no longer put meat on the Tan Tan Noodles
