Your take on the most expert restaurant kitchens in Michigan

I have several favorites. But most of them are colored by my perception of the total ambience we have experienced. Can you choose one or two restaurants in MI that you would want everyone to experience just because the kitchens are so talented in menu offerings and food prep?

Not much experience here except for the old New Hellas Cafe.

Five trips within memory: Old New Hellas Cafe three times (hat trick). Business occasions did not warrant any independent research. Stops for personal research were cultural landmarks: first time to Old New Hellas, side-by-side hot doggers, and Marge’s in Grosse Pointe . . . self-administered cultural anthropology survey course curriculum. Seeing Hamtramck from the car made a huge impression and added to understanding that the Greatest Generation is not a misnomer for us who seek to learn from our betters.

Marge’s during a Red Wings game?

Went the day after the game so it was pretty quiet.
