them out of here before she sees them! Look away, just look away,
keep your eyes that way! You would think that in a fancy
restaurant at these prices you could keep the snails off the
food! There are so many snails there you can’t even see the food!
Not really a movie food scene but I’m thinking the that one of the most infamous movie scenes where a food item is involved focuses over butter in a movie about dancing in a certain European capital. If you know what I am referring to you get the drift. If not then probably not worth looking up or posting any links.
It’s a lot harder to watch once you know what Maria Schneider went through during filming. And it was never that easy to watch.

I agree. A disturbing movie on so many levels.
Not from a movie but from the early 1950s television on Your Show of Shows with Sid Caesar and Imogene Coca and Carl Reiner as the waiter. Writers on the show were Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner, Larry Gelbart (MASH), Neil Simon, and a few years later, Woody Allen.
