You are what you eat (or what you have eaten a few decades ago)

What you eat in your early life might have significant impact on your health when you are getting old (even when accounting for physical activities and smoking status)

@honkman Just sent that to B, who believes in the potential of healthy eating for longevity. Me, not so much (I like to eat healthy-ish because it tastes good to me and I try to minimize my impact on the earth and animals). But he’s a doc so what do I know?

When I was an anorexic teenager I would eat the following for the day a few days a week- a hard boiled egg and a glass of skim milk with a bunch of powdered milk added- supermilk. Fast forward many years, when I was pregnant and no longer anorexic, the supermilk was something I had daily. My first DEXA scan pretty much said I was part Klingon.
