Karato was neat, and barely touristy.
I remember wandering around Shimonoseki thinking “today’s the day for fugu.”
Even the local 7-11s’ had fugu jerky (or some type of dried fugu).
After having that + fugu curry, my tongue definitely felt a bit numb. How about you?
Non-food related question: did you walk in the tunnel to Kyushu?
A fun and delicious day. Fugu is definitely a major draw. We’ve had Fugu a few times, didn’t experience any tingling or numbness.
