"World's Best Chef" awards

Yet another one of these controversial, highly subjective awards…

Last night in Mérida, Mexico, the annual “World’s Best Chef” awards were given.
The winner, for the 3rd consecutive year, the “enfant terrible of Spanish cuisine”, the always colorful David (Dabiz) Muñoz of DiverXo, RavioXo and StreetXo in Madrid.

Here’s the full list of the (arguable) “best 100 chefs of the world”, in case anyone is curious, 4 of the top 10, who are from Spain, including number 2, Albert Adrià of Barcelona’s Enigma.

If i never again had a 3 star style chef driven meal, my life would not suffer. But if I couldn’t eat slightly greasy street style tacos or a plate of exquisitely fresh and well cut sashimi my life would be far worse.
